Online Holiday Cards Made Easy with Basic Invite

Basic Invite was kind enough to sponsor this post. As always, all opinions are my own.

Christmas cards online

With the holiday season sneaking up quickly, now is the perfect time to cross one big task off of your holiday to-do list: creating that family holiday card!

Between taking the picture, picking the design, and getting envelopes sealed, addressed, stamped, and mailed, it can be a time-consuming project. Getting a head start in the fall months can be a real sanity-saver when all of the baking, shopping, gift-wrapping, and decorating start to take place.

One of the easiest ways to create your holiday card is to do it online. However, sometimes when you order a card online, your options are sort of blah, and you don’t have very much control over what your card looks like.

Enter: Basic Invite!

Creating Fabulous Online Holiday Cards with Basic Invite

Basic Invite is a company that offers online holiday cards that are truly customizable. Yep! That means no getting stuck with a card that looks like everyone else’s.

Almost Unlimited Colors

One of my favorite features that Basic Invite offers is the super easy customization, especially when it comes to color choice. Unlike some companies where you can typically only edit text, Basic Invite allows you to choose from almost unlimited colors to create a card that is truly your own.

As you can see in the picture above, you can edit the colors of pretty much every individual element on the card—so freakin’ cool!!

Foil

Want a foil holiday card instead of a traditional one? Basic Invite has you covered!

Available in gold, silver, and rose gold (swoon), customers can choose flat or raised foil on all of Basic Invite’s foil designs.

Custom Samples

Another reason to get started on those online holiday cards a bit early is so you can get a custom printed sample before you place your order.

Basic Invite is one of the few websites that allows you to do this. You’ll get to actually see how it will print, get to see the paper quality, and make any tweaks before finalizing your order.

Ahhhh, peace of mind and reduced anxiety. 🙂

Over 40 Different Colors of Envelopes

If you thought picking out the colors on your card was fun—just wait until you get to the envelopes! With over 40 different color choices, you can pick out the perfect envelope to make you card really stand out.

Bonus? All of Basic Invite’s envelopes are peel-and-seal for a quick and secure closure with no envelope licking involved.

Address Capturing Service

If you’re anything like me, you don’t have an updated list of your friends and family’s mailing addresses. That’s okay!

Basic Invite offers an address-capturing service that allows customers to simply share a link on their social media platform of choice to request addresses from your friends and family. The addresses are stored in the customer’s account, and can later be selected during the design process.

They also offer complimentary recipient address printing on all holiday card orders—yay! One more thing to cross off your to-do list! 🙂

Basic Invite looks really neat! I am terrible at making Christmas cards and when I do I always feel like it takes forever and they get sent out super late. I will give this a try and see how I like it. Thanks!

Definitely going to have to look into this because I haven’t done ours yet! I’m the worst about actually getting them in the mail!

These are adorable! Love how there is so much customization. Other sites I’ve used don’t allow you to really change much on their templates. I will have to check out this site when I order our Christmas cards this year. Thanks for the tip!

Great post, such a great idea for holiday cards. It’s not something that I really big in Scotland, but I think I will have a look into doing one this year. 😁
